The Barau Initiative for Agricultural Revolution in Northwest, Nigeria (BIARN), in collaboration with the Bank of Agriculture under the Sen. Barau Jibrin Foundation, is offering young and middle-aged farmers the opportunity to apply for agricultural grants of up to ₦5 million. This initiative will support 558 farmers across Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara states by providing financial assistance, guidance, and mentorship at every stage of their farming activities.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Must be a Nigerian citizen from one of the eligible states mentioned above.
2. Must be at least 20 years old.
3. Must own a farmland between 1 to 5 hectares.
4. Must have completed NYSC with a discharge certificate.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
2. Birth Certificate or Sworn Affidavit of Age Declaration
3. Educational Certificates
4. NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
5. Local Government Indigene Certificate
6. National Identity Card (NIN)
7. A signed Commitment Letter from the applicant
