It was one of the seven new states created by the military administration headed by late General Murtala Muhammed, which increased the number of states in the federation from twelve to nineteen. The state derives its name from the River Benue which is the second largest river in the country and the most outstanding geographic freature in the state.

The Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) is pleased to announce the recruitment of qualified Teachers for Basic Education Schools. This is an opportunity for individuals with relevant teaching qualifications to contribute to the advancement of education in Benue State.

Qualifications

• Candidates are to apply following the guidelines below:
• Applicants must possess relevant teaching qualifications, NCE, B.Ed, B.Sc (Ed) and B.A (Ed).
• Age Limit: Applicants must not be more than 35 years old (declaration of age less than 6 Months old will not be accepted).
