The Data Science Fellowship Programme, implemented by the Kaduna State Government, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation, aims to strengthen coordination in data collection and use for evidence-based decision making. The 5-year project aims to develop human capital around data science and data use for decision making. The first cohort trained 30 young people on Data Science and modern tools in decision making. The 6-month program focuses on the health sector and includes intensive training and paid internships..

4. Model data using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools within the Amina J. Mohammed SDGs Data Lab.
5. Build a sustainable network within the Data Science Ecosystem.

Requirements for Kaduna State Government Data Science Fellowship Program Qualification

1. Age: 18yrs – 35yrs except for exceptional cases
2. Location: The State of residence must be in Kaduna

Academic Qualifications: 

1. Graduate of Tertiary Institutions in any of the STEMS courses particularly: Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Physical Sciences, and any other health related discipline. Undergraduates within the STEM fields identified who are doing their 6months to 1 year Internships are also encouraged to apply.
2. Competency Level: We are looking for people with the following skills:
3. Basic Computer Knowledge
4. Basic Knowledge around using Data & Understanding of Microsoft Excel
5. Problem Solving Skills
6. Communication Skills(Written and Verbal English)
7. Gender: 50% gender balancing and distribution will be considered during selection process.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Kaduna State Government Data Science Fellowship Program

The Kaduna State Government is conducting a Data Science Fellowship Program. The selection process will be completed by August 9th, 2023. The announcement of selected candidates will be made on the Click-On Kaduna Data Science Fellowship Programme website and social media platforms. Additionally, all applicants will receive a notification via email regarding their application status.

1. July 1st , 2023 – Applications open
2. July 21st, 2023 – Applications close
3. July 24th – July 27th – Review of applications and selection of successful participants
4. July 29th – Computer Based Testing
5. 2nd, 3rd and 4th Aug. – One-on-One Interview
6. 9th Aug – Successful participants are informed
7. 16th Aug. – Induction/Orientation for participants
8. 21st Aug. – Classes starts
