By using this Portal, you agree to be bound by our Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy carries details on how we collect and use personal information gathered in the course

of operating this service.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on our Portal, express an interest in participating in the upcoming 2023 Population and Housing

Census. The personal information we collect may include the following:


i.       Personal Information Provided by You: We may also collect information you directly provide to us including but not limited to information on web forms, account update information   and   correspondence   with   our   support   service.   We   also   collect information about your transactions and your activities. In addition, we collect your contact information such as; name, address, phone number, email, etc. Information obtained  through  survey  responses,  telephone  conversations,  user  enquiries  and other means may also be collected and used by us. All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any

changes to such personal information.

ii.       Information   automatically   collected:   Some   information   such   as  your   Internet

Protocol   (IP)  address  and/or  browser  and   device   characteristics  is   collected


automatically when you use our Portal. We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Portal. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage  information,  such  as  your  IP  address,  browser  and  device  characteristics, operating  system,  language  preferences,  referring  URLs,  device  name,  country, location, information about who and when you use our Portal and other technical information.  This  information  is  primarily  needed  to  maintain  the  security  and

operation of our Portal, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

iii.      We   also   collect   information  through   cookies   and   similar  technologies:     The information we collect includes; Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service- related,  diagnostic usage and performance  information  our  servers  automatically collect when you access or use our Portal and which we record in log files. We   process   your   information   for   the   purpose   of  evaluating   your   application   and qualifications as an Ad-Hoc Staff of the National Population Commission. We indicate the

i.      We use the information we collect from you  to verify your NIN: We use information obtained by you to verify you National Identity Number as obtained from the National

Identity Management Commission (NIMC) database.

ii.      We use the information we collector receive: To facilitate account creation and login

process.

iii.       Request feedback. We may use your information to request feedback and to contact

you.

iv.      To manage user accounts: We may use your information for the purposes of managing

your account and keeping it in working order.

v.      To send administrative information to you: We may use your personal information to send you product, service and new feature information and/or information about

changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.

vi.      To protect our Portal: We may use your information as part of our efforts to keep our

Portal safe and secure (for example, for fraud monitoring and prevention).

vii.      To enforce our terms, conditions and policies for business purposes, to comply with

legal and regulatory requirements or in connection with our contract.

viii.      To respond to legal requests and prevent harm: If we receive a subpoena or other

legal request, we may need to inspect the data we hold to determine how to respond.

i.      We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising as a result of unauthorized access to the Service if (a) you intentionally or negligently fail to take reasonable precautions to protect your security, access codes, login details or any device used to access the Service, (b) you failed to promptly notify us that the Service was being accessed in an

unauthorised way after becoming aware of it, or (c) you acted fraudulently.

ii.       Our liability to you or any third party in any circumstance of proven liability by us, shall

not exceed the fees paid to us in respect of the specific transaction that gave rise to the

claim or liability, unless otherwise specified by a court of competent jurisdiction.

iii.       Notwithstanding any provision in this section, limitation of liability shall not apply if
